Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who has worked hard for the development of our university since the first day in his office, talked about the pilot university projects helping the development of Internal Anatolia Region to Bloomberg HT. Rector Karakaya shared the information on the current situation of Clustering in Thermal Greenhouses, Coarse Fodder Production and Progress and Development Focused on Walnut and Development Project with the Bloomberg HT watchers.

Rector Karakaya: “We Will Direct The Regional Development in Greenhousing”

Rector Karakaya answered the questions of İrfan Donat who is the presenter of the show and agriculture editor and he said that the homogeneous style of the universities in Turkey is aimed to be changed within the scope of Mission Differentiation and Specialization based on the Regional Development Project started by the Council of Higher Education (YOK) in 2016. He explained that among 41 universities Kırşehir Ahi Evran University was chosen as one of the five Universities that were chosen as pilot universities in accordance with the values of their regions within the scope of Mission Differentiation and Specialization based on the Regional Development Project and our university has been producing projects on agriculture and geothermal fields which are the most prominent features of the region. Rector Karakaya shared the detailed information about the Clustering in Thermal Greenhouses Project and he said that this project is valuable as it helps to the development of domestic food production which is one of the major needs of our country. He said that the university's aim is both to satisfy this need and to train the qualified employees. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stressed that families would create their own businesses thanks to the Clustering in Thermal Greenhouses Project and they will bring the region into the forefront on the geothermal greenhousing field.

Rector Karakaya: “We Planted Coarse Fadder to 300 Decars Field For Animal Husbandry”

He also talked about the importance of the Coarse Fodder Production for the region as Kırşehir is a city of which one of the most important businesses is Animal Husbandry and there are almost 250 thousand cattle in Kırşehir. He stated that they planted coarse fadder to a field of 300 decars.

Rector Karakaya: “We Did Studies to Increase Crop for Kaman Walnut”

Prof. Dr. Karakaya also mentioned about the Development Focused on Walnut Project and he stated that walnut is a brand for our city and they developed the project in order to increase productivity and value of that brand. Rector Karakaya said that "We did studies to increase crop for Kaman Walnut" and that they developed automation system.
