Kırşehir Ahi Evran University continues to contribute to positive sciences with its young and dynamic academic staff. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakkı Çağdaş Basat, who is a member of our university's Faculty of Medicine, has achieved an important success in their studies on design and production of biocomposite products together with a crew including engineers who are the members of Hacettepe Technopolis BMT-BAPS.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakkı Çağdaş Basat, who is a member of our university's Faculty of Medicine, has found an effective alternative solution by designing biocomposite interference screw that can mimic bone tissue, useful in shoulder, knee and wrist or ankle injuries, and soluble in the body after a while. Assist. Prof. Dr. Basat said that they have been working on this project for 3 years with a crew including engineers who are the members of Hacettepe Technopolis BMT-BAPS, and they sort products as intas interference screw, anchors (pentas, basat, bankas), mart pin, bappin, and kondrod. Their soluble feature is the most prominent specialty of these products, he says and continues his speech by saying "If the area where these products are applied is bone, then the product transforms itself into the bone and adapts. One another feature of these products is the fact that after the application of them, one another removal surgery is not needed. They would not cause any signal inhibition during MRI scanning and would not bleep while passing through X-Ray devices."

He also added that these products can be used at orthopedics field, open-closed shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow injuries and also commencing production would reduce foreign dependency and would be cheaper.
