Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which attaches particular importance to scientific knowledge and innovation, attended TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival that is annually organized and will be held in Gaziantep this year with two teams. The projects prepared by our teams were evaluated and deemed successful by specialist academicians and teams in their fields.
Our University Passed the Pre-admission Stage with Two Projects Among 1831 Applications
Two teams of our university passed the pre-admission stage successfully in the field of Education Technologies which is included in Teknofest 2020 for the first time this year. 1831 applications were made for Teknofest 2020 Education Technologies and our “Ahiyenilikcimatvizyon4.0” and “Dinamikİnovasyon4.0” teams scored high marks, passed the pre-admission stage and continue their studies for the Competition that will take place on 22-27 September 2020.
Ahiyenilikcimatvizyon4.0 Team Continues Its Studies on “Computer-Based Dynamic Geometry Teaching Materials" Project
The team is composed of the students of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Faculty of Education Department of Mathematics Teaching Bilal Ateş, Ömer Faruk Ay, and Mustafa Zengin and their project “Computer-Based Dynamic Geometry Teaching Materials" passed the pre-admission stage. The project aims to compose an e-archive containing dynamic geometry teaching materials that would make understanding easier for the students from the first grade to the eighth-grade students of elementary schools. The archive will operate online and offline. 
Dinamikİnovasyon4.0 Team Continues Its Studies on “Augmented Reality Based Dynamic Geometry Teaching Softwares” Project
The team is composed of the student of the Faculty of Education Department of Computer and Teaching Technologies Durukan Küçükler and the student of Vocational School of Technical Sciences Kaan Ünver and their Projects “Augmented Reality Based Dynamic Geometry Teaching Softwares” also passed the pre-admission stage. The project aims to develop Transformation Geometry and 3D objects activities that would work on all Android devices and augmented VR. The project scored 83.5 points on the scale of 100 and proceeded to the next step. The introductory video prepared by the students of the project was published on the official social media page of Teknofest and Turkish Technology Team. Therefore, our team has become the only team that was promoted on the official page on the field of Education Technologies until now. Assist. Prof. Dr. Cahit Aytekin is the academic advisor of both teams, who is also the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education and the member of the Department of Mathematics Teaching. He said that this success is the reflection of the progress made by our university on the field of education. Aytekin also mentioned the endless support of the Rector of our University Prof. Vatan Karakaya and the Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Refik Balay who always place great importance to the department of Education Technologies, which also carries out AYDEP Project that serves as a model for many universities and thanked them for their support.

The Rector of our university Prof. Vatan Karakaya said that this success made them happy in this period when we all go through tough times and they have always believed in the power of unique and innovative thinking.
