"The Land of Akhts Cheers up with Science" project that is carried out by the Technology Transfer Office Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurban on behalf of our university will be supported by TUBITAK. 

57 Different Activities Will be Organized as part of the Project  

40 thousand people, of which 18 thousand ones will be active, will attend to "The Land of Akhts Cheers up with Science" TÜBİTAK-4007 Science Fest Project approved by TUBITAK. 57 different activities will be organized as part of the Fest and 45 workshop leaders, 4 speakers, 23 guides, and 1 medical personnel will take part. 

Kurban: “We will try to teach scientific thinking skills to the participants”

The coordinator of the project Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurban said that it is highly important to teach scientific thinking skills to the participants and develop their point of view on scientific knowledge and scientists in today's world in which accumulation of knowledge turns into science and science turns into technology. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kurban mentioned about their plans about organizing a comprehensive science fest for the first time in Kırşehir with science, technology, sports, and art activities. Kurban also said that their goal is to transfer the interactive relation between science and technology to different groups ranging from associate degree, degree and graduate degree students, kindergarten, primary, secondary and high school students and teachers and also people from every walk of life. He stressed that they aim to create awareness of science and technology and they will organize activities in this direction. The specialist academicians in their field will take part as workshop leaders and trainers and they will transfer their knowledge to each group of participants starting from kindergarten ages.

The Rector of our university Prof. Vatan Karakaya mentioned the importance of the project and he expressed his best wishes on the "The Land of Akhts Cheers up with Science" project and congratulated the project team.
