Since the day he took office, the Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, has been working to increase the number of foreign students of our university. The number of foreign students was eight when he became the rector of our university, and today this number is 1828 after the admission of 695 new foreign students in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The number of foreign students who continue their education at our university as under-graduate and graduate students, has been increasing day by day. Our university has contacted 30 more countries with newly registered students. The Foreign Affairs Office carries out all the processes of the foreign students who prefer almost all the faculties of our university, especially the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The Head of the Foreign Affairs Office Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erman Akıllı stated that they show the ultimate attention in order to enable our foreign students to have education without any problems in our country and at our university. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erman Akıllı said that they have completed the orientation training of the students and they gave comprehensive information about our university and our faculties.
Rector Karakaya: “Foreign Students are our Cultural Envoys”
The Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya made a statement about the increasing numbers of our foreign students and he said this is an important milestone in internationalization. He continued his words as follows: "Our aim is to make our foreign students return to their countries as well-educated individuals. Also, our foreign students are our cultural envoys. They will learn the history and roots of Anatolian civilization and carry these values to their countries."
Rektör Karakaya: “Dünya Ülkeleri ile Gönül Birlikteliği Kuruyoruz”
Dünya ülkeleri ile gönül birlikteliği kurmayı önemseyen ve bu nedenle ikili ilişkileri günden güne artırmaya yönelik çalışmalar gerçekleştiren Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, öğrencilerin ilimizde ve üniversitemizde bulundukları süre içerisinde kendileri ile yakından ilgilendiklerini kaydetti. Rektör Karakaya konuşmasını şu sözlerle tamamladı: “Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesinde eğitim gören tüm öğrencilerimiz dünya ile yarışacak bir azme ve bunu başarmak için durmadan çalışacak gayrete sahip olarak süreçlerini tamamlamalıdır. Öğrencilerimizin temel hedefi geleceğe yönelik planlar yaparak eğitimlerini bu doğrultuda gerçekleştirmek olmalıdır. Öğrencilere yeni eğitim-öğretim hayatlarında başarılar dileyen Rektör Karakaya, yaşanabilecek her türlü aksaklıkta gönlünün ve makamının kapılarının her daim öğrencilere açık olduğunu söyledi.”
