KAEU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit Bulut is on the list of "The Most Influential Scientists in the World". The study titled "Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators", carried out by a team of researchers from the USA and the Netherlands under the coordination of John P. A. Ioannidis from Stanford University, was updated for 2020 and published in the journal PLOS Biology. The studies of approximately 7 million scientists who have published at least 5 articles in their field were examined in the study, in which the world's most influential scientists are listed in 22 departments and 176 sub-disciplines. As for performance indicators in the study, total citations, h-index, hm-index, number of studies with one author, number of citations for studies with one author, etc. variables are used. Scientists are classified according to their fields of study and two lists are created as “Career-Long Impact” and “Annual Impact”. Researchers who are among the top 100 thousand scientists in all fields or the top 2 percent of their field are entitled to be included in the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list. While 1,150 scientists from Turkey were on the Annual Impact list, FEAS faculty member of KAEU Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit Bulut ranked 83,116th in the world and 360th in Turkey in the Annual Impact List.
