A preliminary visit, which is the first stage of the accreditation process, was held at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which is included in the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK). Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, KAP evaluation Team Members, deans, directors, heads of departments, quality commission members, and academic and administrative staff attended. In the preliminary visit, which was in a very positive atmosphere, detailed information about the main projects of the university, the Integrated Quality Management System (BKYS), Ahi Competence-Based Education Project (AYDEP), which is the Quality Assurance in Education, Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Projects and Advanced Geothermal Greenhouse Technology R & D and Product Development and Design (ÜR-GE) centers were given.

 

Rector Karakaya, who gave information about KAEU during the preliminary visit made online, explained that they have been working non-stop since the day they took office and that they contributed to the development of Kırşehir with the projects they implemented. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who stated that as Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, they pioneered many universities and institutions implementing big projects the first, said that their priority projects are Quality Management System, Integrated Quality Management System (BKYS), and AYDEP, which is the Quality Assurance System in Education, which will enable young people to realize their right to education as a design developed by KAEU. Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya of KAEU noted that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University was one of the five universities selected out of 41 universities in 2016 and it made significant contributions to both the province and the sector by implementing projects within the scope of Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Projects. He said, “We have established a Geothermal Advanced Greenhouse Technologies and Production Techniques Joint Application and Research Center under the coordination of KAEU, and this center, which was established in partnership with Ankara and Selçuk Universities, has a great importance within the vision of the Eleventh Development Plan (2019-2023), which is the first development plan of the Presidential Government System.”

After the presentation of Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, some presentations were made by Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Ekrem Öztürk on "Management Quality Assurance System (BKYS)", Deputy Coordinator of Education Quality Assurance System (EKGS) Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek on "Quality Assurance System in Education (AYDEP)" and finally Bologna Coordinator Prof. Dr. Musa Özata on "KAP Preparatory Studies".

The visit, which took place in a very positive atmosphere, ended after answering the questions of the YÖKAK Institutional Evaluation Team.
