KAEU, which was included in the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), is ready for KAP Team Field Visits. Before the IAP Team Site Visit, a Quality Commission Meeting was held by the Quality Management Coordinator of KAEU. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Secretary-General Mehmet Zeki Küçük, deans, principals, heads of departments, academic and administrative staff, and quality student representatives attended the meeting.

The meeting started with the presentation of Ekrem Öztürk, who is the Deputy Quality Management Coordinator on the "Public Field Visit Evaluation" of the IAP Team. In his presentation, Öztürk talked about the plans and programs that the units should make during the KAP Team Field Visit. Ekrem Öztürk emphasized the need for the units to be ready for the field visit, the visit program to be followed, the team members to be welcomed at the unit, the unit to be introduced, the people who will participate in the evaluation meeting to be determined and those who would participate in the evaluation to be informed.

After the presentation of Deputy Quality Management Coordinator Ekrem Öztürk, Head of Strategy Development Department Şenol Bayram took the floor and made the presentation titled "2017-2021 Strategic Plan Evaluation". In the presentation, Bayram gave information about the strategic management period, cycle, mission, and vision of the university and said that the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan was prepared with a participatory approach and that a total of 5 objectives and 29 targets related to these objectives were determined with the stakeholders. Explaining the strategic plans and goals for 2017 and 2021, Şenol Bayram noted that when the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan is evaluated, the average realization rate of the goals and targets implemented for 4 years would be 78 percent.

After the presentation of the Head of Strategy Development Department, Şenol Bayram, a presentation was made by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil. Karahocagil, who made his presentation titled “2022-2026 Strategic Plan Differentiation Strategies”, stated how the differentiation strategy is positioned in the higher education sector of a university, its perception, the competencies it wants to develop, and its priorities. He said that it acts as a bridge between the mission, vision, and core values, and the goals and objectives of the strategic plan. Noting that the Differentiation Strategy consists of 4 basic preferences, namely Position Preference, Success Region Preference, Value Presentation Preference, and Core Competence Preference, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil mentioned the plans of KAEU in these preferences in the Strategic Plan for the 2022-2026 Term.

After the presentation of Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek took the floor and made a presentation titled “2022-2026 Strategic Plan Objectives and Targets”. In his presentation, Şimşek compared the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan Objectives and Targets with the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan Objectives and Targets and noted that they determined 4 goals, 17 targets, 61 indicators, and 46 strategies for the next four years. Within the framework of the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek stated their aim is "to continue student-centered education and training activities with a quality assurance system based on competence in education, to carry out innovative and entrepreneurial research and development studies at national and international level focused on regional development and specialization, to contribute to the society in line with the expectations by considering cultural sensitivity and to maintain the management structure based on the principle of accountability based on justice and merit, with an approach which is open to change, continuous improvement and innovative and participatory. He added that as Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, all personnel have important duties to achieve these goals.

Rector Karakaya: "Our Goal Is to Raise Quality People"

After the presentation of Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya took the floor to present the Top Manager Evaluation. In his speech, Rector Karakaya stated that he was happy to meet with the staff of the university within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program and said that they have accomplished important and good works in quality studies since the day they took office. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who said that they started their quality studies with faith and that the point they have reached now is very important in terms of branding studies, stated that they believe that they will achieve good results by working together in the next process. Rector Karakaya emphasized that their aim has always been to raise quality people and that they are working towards this goal, and said, "Quality and trained people are indispensable in the world." said. Rector of KAEU, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who said that well-educated people will give blessings to the world, stated that the efforts made now will be the value of the Ahi-Order of the 21st century in the future.

Rector Karakaya: “As Managers, We Are Always Involved in Quality Studies”

Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya indicated that they remained loyal to their plans and studies throughout their time in management and said that they have both learned and taught during quality studies since 2015. Rector Karakaya explained that they integrated the strategic plan of the past term with the strategic plan for the next term and added that the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan is now a ladder for them and that they can go higher thanks to this. Expressing that they are always involved in quality studies as management and work with their staff, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya noted that all personnel made great efforts on quality studies. At the end of his speech, Rector Karakaya touched upon the activities of the units in quality studies and asked the IAP Evaluation Team to speed up their work before the field visits.
