Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which was chosen as a pilot university in the field of agriculture and geothermal within the scope of the Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project, continues to contribute to the regional farmers with its roughage project in the field of agriculture. KAEU, which carries out a roughage project to raise healthier and higher quality cattle in Kırşehir and the region, aims to increase the welfare of farmers by increasing meat and milk yield.

The implementation project, which started with 5 leading farmers in 5 different villages, on an area of 238 deciares in the 2018-2019 production period, has reached 30 leading farmers, 10 villages, and 2748 deciares of land in the 2021-2022 period. The instructors of KAEU, who have been also involved in the field preparation, planting, field control, and harvest stages of the roughage project, have provided technical support to the farmers by accompanying the planting in Hamit village of Kaman district. The project, which has been conducted by the faculty members of Agriculture, Field Crops- led by Ass. Prof. Tamer Yavuz and coordinated Ass. Prof. Ramazan Ayrancı and contributed by Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, Ass. Prof. Hakan Kır and Inst. Veysel Gül as researchers- will continue with training, publication, and field days in the next year.
