Pointing out that the world is a human problem rather than women's, Karakaya said that they should act with the awareness of valuing human beings, defining human and understanding its most fragile layer, women. Rector Karakaya brought up the question of how women should be defined, and he underlined the need to realize that there are efforts to turn women into a commodity when they say women are being liberated in the modern world. Saying that women are the basis of society and expressing that any slide there will shake the society, Karakaya stated that they have seen this throughout history and the result will not change from now on because of its nature. Noting that they have to work hard in order to the woman regain their value, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya continued his words as follows: “Modern or Post-modern thought has begun to end the woman or man under its own turmoil of thought. It is necessary to understand human beings, while doing this, it is necessary to give special attention to women. We must build minds that are not self-interested, do not serve materialism, value people and give women the worth they deserve.
