In KAEU, which was included in the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), the preparatory work for the IAP process continues unintermittedly. Before the KAP site visit, which will take place in the first week of December, all units, especially the senior management of the university, accelerated their work. Rector of KAEU, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Secretary General Mehmet Zeki Küçük, Deputy Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Ekrem Öztürk and the quality coordinator team attended the meeting held on 26 November 2021 at the Quality Management Coordinator.

At the meeting, President of IAP Preparation Commission Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Ekrem Öztürk gave a briefing to Rector Karakaya about the preparatory work for IAP. The president of IAP Preparatory Commission Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek explained the main topics of the Institutional Accreditation Program. Ekrem Öztürk, Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management, shared the details of the site visit program with Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya. At the meeting, the meetings held before the site visit and the reports prepared were reviewed, while the Integrated Quality Management System developed for the management processes of the university and the AYDEP Learning Management System developed for the Education-Training processes were also evaluated. The Quality Coordinator team said that all units are working continuously to get the best result in the IAP evaluation eventually, and that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is ready for the IAP team field visits.

 

Rector Karakaya: “All the Effort Is to Establish a University Mentality With A Culture Of Quality”

Speaking at the meeting, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya emphasized that the developed Internal Quality Assurance Systems are the insurance of the university and that they have adopted a performance and evidence-based management approach. Rector Karakaya explained that all these studies were carried out not to get documents, but to establish a university mentality with a culture of quality. He stated that the most important reflection of the six-year work is high level of stakeholder satisfaction and the focus of all their efforts is the responsibility of raising good people. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that he believes that the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), which is also an external evaluation process, will make significant contributions to the work of KAEU, and that with IAP, KAEU has attained a strong infrastructure in areas such as education, research-development, social contribution and management system processes. Stating that the IAP process is very significant for Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that he believes the process will be successful for KAEU and thanked all the staff who were involved in the process and made an effort.

In the continuation of the meeting, Secretary-General of KAEU Mehmet Zeki Küçük gave information to Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya about the organization required for the field visit.
