Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, a member of the Caucasus Universities Association (KÜNİB), participated in the University Promotion Fair organized by KÜNİB between 16-17 June 2022 in Uzbekistan. KAEU, in which many foreign students take education with its internationalization studies, was introduced to the friendly and brotherly people of Uzbekistan and to the youth of Uzbekistan who wants to continue their higher education in Turkey. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, and Coordinator of Foreign Relations Office of KAEU, Assoc. Dr. Erman Akıllı attended the promotion fair held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Rector Karakaya: “If You Want to Bring Any Thought to Life, the Only Way out is Education”
Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who made the opening speech at the fair, talked about the internationalization studies carried out by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University since 2015 and gave information about the guest students studying at our university. Explaining that the number of foreign students studying at our university had increased since the day he took office, Rector Karakaya noted that the facilities of our university had been improved for its students. Stating that our university hosted students from nearly 62 countries and had contacts with students from different parts of the world, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya continued his speech as follows: “We want Uzbekistan a part of that. It is a fact that if you want to bring any thought to life, the only way out is education. We need to remember these regions by considering our past. Because we should not forget that there were periods when Samarkand Bukhara was the cradle for the knowledge, it raised and spread the knowledge. We will be a part of the cycle in the globalizing world, but we need to be shoulder to shoulder with those we are close to.”m.”
Within the scope of the fair, Rector Karakaya and the accompanying delegation met with the President of Uzbekistan Oliy Education Council, the President of the Higher Education Council of Uzbekistan, and the Rector of Tashkent State Transport University Abduraxmanov Odil Qalandarovich. At the end of the meetings, bilateral cooperation agreements were signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and Tashkent State Transport University.
In the continuation of the program, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and his companies met with the Rector of Samarkand Medical University Prof. Dr. Cesur Alimcanovic Rızayev and Vice-Rector of Samarkand State University Ahadov Akmal Rüstemiç and they agreed on joint academic studies with universities.
Students from Uzbekistan, who were planning to study abroad, showed great interest in our university stand at the promotion fair, which provided great advantages for students and the opportunity to be recognized in Uzbekistan for our university.
