Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Kirsehir Provincial Health Director Dr. Ertan Değirmencioğlu, and his entourage came together at the meeting. At the meeting held at the rector's office on June 2, 2023, ideas were exchanged on the construction of the 400-bed Kırşehir State Hospital, which was started in KAEU Central Campus. The meeting was accompanied by Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, and Secretary-General Mehmet Zeki Küçük.
Kırşehir Provincial Health Director Dr. Ertan Değirmencioğlu, who gave information about the work done and the latest situation regarding the 400-bed Kırşehir State Hospital project, noted that the 400-bed Kırşehir State Hospital was included in the investment plan as an additional 150-bed building in 2017. Değirmencioğlu said that the construction of a 400-bed detached hospital on a 6 thousand 352 block, 1 parcel, 181.000 m² lands belonging to Kırşehir Ahi Evran University in 2020 was approved with the letter of the General Directorate of Health Investments dated 21 July 2020 and numbered E 872, and continued his speech as follows: The plan change was completed and the allotment work was completed and the project tender was made on August 31, 2021, with the tender registration number 2021/432628. The contract was signed with the contractor, the drawing stage was started, the project drawing processes were completed, and the tender evaluation was completed by making the construction tender on February 15, 2023. The contract was signed on April 03, 2023, and the site was delivered on April 14, 2023. At the same time, building permit studies were initiated. The project characteristic is in the form of 2B+2+7 and has 22 thousand 594 m² of living area and 104 thousand 382 m² of closed area.”
Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University had signed many projects in health services, which was one of the most important needs of Kırşehir, and added that the 400-bed Kırşehir State Hospital, which was started to be built in the Central Campus of KAEU, was very important for our city and our university. Rector Karakaya, who also stated that the Faculty of Medicine had made very important contributions to our city, said that the rates o preferences of Kırşehir and our university from the surrounding provinces would increase with the new state hospital and wished that the 400-bed Kırşehir State Hospital would be beneficial for our province and our university.
