The "Field-Based Competency Analysis of Universities" Report, prepared by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TUBITAK), in which the performance of universities in 130 sub-research areas is examined and evaluated based on volume (research intensity) and quality indicators has been published. According to the report, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has achieved being among the best universities in 27 research fields, including specialization goals. In the 2023 report, KAEU took place in the 1st region category in 27 research areas according to the University Competency Map prepared considering the quality and volume indicators, and registered its competence in these areas.

The report, in which 200 universities are evaluated, is prepared on the basis of various criteria such as the number of academic publications, the number of citations, the number of academicians, the number of publications in the top 10% of the world's most cited citations, project budgets, using the Scopus and TUBITAK databases. According to TÜBİTAK 2023 report, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University was deemed successful among Turkish universities in the following research areas: Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Education, Health, Information and Communication Technologies, Energy, Materials Science, Social and Human Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences. In this context, the fields in which Kırşehir Ahi Evran University ranks first in the field-based competency map were determined as Horticulture, Education, and Dermatology. These areas were followed by sub-research areas such as Soil and Plant Nutrition, Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, Metals and Alloys, and Quantum Technologies. Moreover, according to the graphic, the sub-fields of Animal Nutrition, Field Crops, Ophthalmology, Inorganic Chemistry, and Orthopedics were determined as the other fields in which our university was most competent according to the volume scores.


TÜBİTAK Report is a Significant Indicator for Increasing Competitiveness of KAEU

Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that the TÜBİTAK Competency Analysis Report was of great importance for the university and that the evaluation process was an important indicator in terms of demonstrating the scientific research and innovation potential of KAEU and increasing its competitiveness at the national level. Karakaya said that the improvement was the result of long-term efforts. Rector Karakaya, who stated that they would continue to work in both academic and social fields with an understanding of modern, developing, productive and quality education, said that they would continue to work with all their strength to add value to the common future.
