After achieving 5 years of full accreditation from the Higher Education Quality Board and 5 stars in the EFQM Model Outstanding Performance Stages, our university is differentiating its approach to quality management systems with the Direction Workshop. In this context, planning activities have begun to elevate quality planning standards, focus on strategic goals, and ensure more effective reflection of the CoHE and THEQC Monitoring and Evaluation Indicators for the Annual Plans of 2024. Planning activities covering institutes, faculties, colleges, vocational schools, application and research centers, and administrative units are being carried out separately in each unit with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil and the top management.

"We will conduct QMS Studies Separately with All Our Units"

Speaking about the 2024 planning activities, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated, "In line with our slogan 'Journey to Excellence in the Footsteps of Ahilik' and Quality Management System, which we manage with the understanding of Akhism, continues to be a role model in our ecosystem. We adopt an approach that will take our 5-year full accreditation and 5-star achievements in the EFQM Model Superior Performance Stages to more advanced goals and reflect our governance understanding in our activities. With our QMS planning to be conducted separately in all our units, we will manage our quality management systems more effectively. We monitor the indicators of our Strategic Plan in real time with our Integrated Quality Management System, which is used by five different universities together with us. In addition to quality standards, we reflect the criteria of CoHE and THEQC in our planning activities. We especially emphasize the reflection of our goals for Research and Development and Societal Contribution in the process performance indicators and our activities. In line with the United Nations sustainable development goals, we attach importance to the inclusion of our goals for energy and environmental conservation in all our unit and department goals. We consider the planning of cultural and artistic activities with local cultural content to be very important. In this regard, we have chosen a different planning approach to see and evaluate the planning activities of our units on-site. I wish the planning activities of our university to be successful in determining the direction of our university.

The unit planning activities are ongoing in line with the Working Principles of the Annual Quality Management System (QMS) Planning determined by the Quality Management Coordination, the QMS Planning Guide, and the QMS Working Plan (Unit's Preparatory Work and Program Flow). Following the fieldwork to be conducted in all units between January 10 and 31, 2024, the units will enter their activity plans, process performance goals, and risk plans into the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS).
