Faculty Members of KAEU Ahi Zootechnics Association has been awarded the Seal of Excellence and granted support as part of the TÜBİTAK BİGG(Bio) Program's first application for the year 2023, with the project "Design of Nanoemulsion Silage Additive for Clean Agriculture". The faculty members, who are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Filik, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Şirin, Dr. Hayrettin Çayıroğlu, Dr. Ayşe Gül Filik, Dr. Hüseyin Çayan, and Agricultural Activities Society Academic Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Kul, along with the Society President Abdullah Selim Öner, visited Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil. During the visit, various topics were discussed, including the details of the 17th National Zootechnics Congress and the Kırşehir Livestock Situation Workshop, which our university will host.

A total of 2885 entrepreneurial ideas applied for the first call of TÜBİTAK BiGG (Bio) Program in 2023, and 1453 candidates received training.

2885 entrepreneurial ideas applied for the first call of the BIGG 2023. 1453 candidates from 147 implementing organizations were provided accelerator training services, including education, mentoring, incubation, utilization of collaboration networks, and customer validation support under the first phase of the program. Out of the applicants, 515 entrepreneurial candidates, whose business plans were approved by the Implementing Organizations, will be evaluated during the second stage panels organized by TÜBİTAK. Following assessments by academics, industrialists, and investors, 153 entrepreneurs were deemed eligible for the Excellence Seal within the scope of the 2023 1st Call. Rektor Karahocagil congratulated and wished success to the project team of the "Design of Nanoemulsion Silage Additive for Clean Agriculture," which was supported with the Excellence Seal among the 153 projects. The project aims to prevent the development of pathogenic microorganisms in silage, prepared with roughage, one of the most important feed sources for livestock, using nanoemulsion phytogenic silage additives. 



KAEU will Host 17. National Zoothecnics Congress and Kırşehir Livestock Situation Workshop will be Organized

Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is organizing the 17th National Zoothecnics Congress to contribute to the development of livestock, which holds a significant place in the Kırşehir economy. The congress, hosted by KAEU on May 17-19, 2024, aims to make a valuable contribution to national animal husbandry by bringing together esteemed scientists working in the field of Animal Science and related areas. The congress, which will gather prospective Animal Scientists and Agricultural Engineers specializing in Animal Science, is also expected to provide an opportunity for stakeholders, including producers, industry representatives, and public officials, to evaluate issues and make projections for the future.

In addition, members of the Ahi Zoothecnics Association provided information to Rector Karahocagil about the activities of the association and the Livestock Situation Workshop planned to be held in February. They also presented Rector Karahocagil with the Glossary of Zoothecnics Terms, a publication of the Zoothecnics Federation.
