The Akhism-Based e-Commerce and Digital Marketing Summit" was organized in collaboration with the ELİDER Electronic Commerce Association by the Management Information Systems Society of the Kaman Applied Sciences School at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The summit featured notable speakers including Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Head of the e-Export, Digital Marketing, and Next Generation Technologies Department at the Ministry of Commerce's Directorate General of Export Hasan Önal, Vice President of the Electronic Commerce Association (ELİDER) Nüket Dokuz, Representative of TRENDYOL İsmail Kurukafa, Representative of IdeaSoft Emre Çetinaslan, Representative of HepsiPay Suat Ateş, Ayhan Eren from Media Store, Mustafa Reşit Tavus from BenimPos, and Mustafa Erol Çakan from Fi Marka. The experts provided insightful presentations during the summit.
The Value of E-Commerce Rooted in Akhism Principles
The opening speech of the summit was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, who highlighted how e-commerce allowed businesses to operate on a global scale, overcoming geographical challenges, and providing consumers with access to a wide range of products 24/7. Karahocagil emphasized the increasing transaction volume and usage of e-commerce, which continued to follow a rising trend. He noted the significance of conducting e-commerce based on the values of the Akhism tradition, where both the producer and consumer were protected, fostering a system based on mutual benefit. Prof. Karahocagil stressed the need to establish an economic system in e-commerce built on mutual trust, without deception, in line with Akhism values. He also thanked the Management Information Systems Society and the ELİDER Association for organizing the event.
Industry Leaders Made Presentations at the Digital Marketing Summit
The summit featured presentations and panels by many industry leaders. Hasan Önal, Head of the E-Export, Digital Marketing, and Next Generation Technologies Department at the Ministry of Commerce, gave a presentation on Turkiye's e-Export Potential, discussing foreign marketing networks, the use of artificial intelligence, and ways to access data, with detailed examples provided through the ministry's website. Following this, İsmail Kurukafa from TRENDYOL talked about Future e-Commerce Trends and Technologies, Emre Çetinaslan from IdeaSoft discussed Digital Transformation and Sustainability in e-e-commerce, Suat Ateş from HepsiPay covered Future Payment Methods, Ayhan Eren from Media Store explored the questions of How to Build a Brand and What It Takes for Brands to Grow, Mustafa Reşit Tavus from BenimPos presented on Export in the SaaS Model of the Software Sector, Mehmet Kaya from Neuro Reflect introduced the concept of Neuroplasma in e-Commerce, and Mustafa Erol Çakan from Fi Marka talked about the Use of Artificial Intelligence in e-Commerce. Lastly, Sungur Kerem Gezergün from BusinessUp! delivered a presentation titled "More Traffic, More Sales."
In addition to the presentations, the summit included panels on topics such as "Is Physical Infrastructure, Warehousing, and Store Facilities Necessary in e-Commerce?" and "Sales and Branding in e-Commerce." Students actively participated by asking questions to the industry experts and gaining in-depth knowledge on the field during this engaging and comprehensive summit.
