An educational seminar titled "Career in the Public Sector under the Guidance of Prof. Dr. Oktay Kızılkaya – The Key to Success: Insights from KAEU Alumni" was organized in collaboration with the Career Planning and Research Center of KAEU and the Economics and Management Student Community. Held on May 28, 2025, at the Neşet Ertaş Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center, the seminar was attended by academic and administrative staff, as well as students.
The opening speech of the event was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Şener, Director of the Career Planning Application and Research Center. In her speech, Şener expressed their joy in reuniting with graduates through such events, which help build heartfelt connections. She also conveyed her hope that the graduates, who would speak and share their career stories in the seminar titled “Career in the Public Sector Under the Guidance of Prof. Dr. Oktay Kızılkaya – The Key to Success: Insights from KAEU Alumni,” would inspire the students. Asst. Prof. Dr. Emine Şener thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the seminar.
Following the opening speech, the seminar, moderated by Prof. Dr. Oktay Kızılkaya, commenced. During the seminar, graduates shared insights and offered advice to students on public sector career opportunities and effective study strategies. The speakers included Zeynep Tunç, 2016 Business Administration graduate and Assistant Revenue Specialist at Yozgat Boğazlıyan Tax Office Directorate; Mevlüt Ulaş, 2019 Economics graduate and Entrepreneurial Customer Relations Manager at Ziraat Katılım Bank; Vural Buldak, 2020 Business Administration graduate and Certified Public Accountant Trainee, Melda Nal; Kadir Çağırtekin, 2020 Economics graduate and Assistant Financial Services Specialist at the Strategy Development Department of the General Directorate of Security; Sebahat Şeyda Aslan, 2021 Economics graduate and Assistant Revenue Specialist at Kırşehir Kaman Tax Office Directorate; and Rabia Nur Bektaş, 2023 Public Finance graduate and Retail Sales and Operational Support Staff at Vakıfbank.
The seminar also featured a musical performance by students from the Department of Music at the Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts of KAEU. At the end of the seminar, students asked the speakers questions about their career journeys. The event concluded with a group commemorative photo.
