Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is taking part in TEKNOFEST, the country’s biggest festival for technology, aviation, and space. The event began on September 17, 2025 and will continue for five days. At booth P-10, the university is presenting its own locally developed software—such as the Integrated Quality Management System (BKYS) and the Ahi Competency-Based Education Portal (AYDEP)—alongside innovative projects from young engineers and researchers. University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, academic and administrative staff, and students are also attending the festival, which ends on September 22, 2025.

TEKNOFEST brings together young talents and serves as a platform for Turkey’s technological progress. At the festival, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is represented with both its own homegrown software and projects, as well as those developed by its academics and students. Visitors to the university’s booth have the chance to get a close look at work done in areas like unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), AI-based systems, and robotic technologies— all created by the university and its students.

At TEKNOFEST, where science and technology are shared, our booth was visited by Prof. Dr. Oktay Yıldız, Rector of Gümüşhane University. Rector Karahocagil introduced BKYS and AYDEP, the university’s locally developed software, to Rector Yıldız, and the two rectors also exchanged ideas about the projects and work being done at both universities. Later, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Karahocagil, visited the booths of other institutions at TEKNOFEST. He stopped by the stands of PETLAS—a brand born in Kırşehir— as well as Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, Fırat University, and also visited the Radio Dumlupınar booth, where he joined a live radio broadcast.

Rector Karahocagil said that universities see the results of their investments in science and technology at major events like TEKNOFEST. He highlighted that these events are important because they let students put theory into practice, share their projects with large audiences, and exchange ideas with other universities. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil added that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University will continue its work in technology and innovation without slowing down. “We aim to train engineers and scientists who will do good for their country, following the principles of Ahi-order,” he said.
