As part of the Akhism Week celebrations, the “Akhism-Based Entrepreneurship Training” program, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and hosted by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, was successfully held from September 23 to 25, 2025. The intensive three-day program brought together 18 businesspeople and tradesmen from 13 different countries. The participants explored the historical roots of Akhism, its ethical business mindset, and ways to adapt these principles to contemporary entrepreneurship. Sessions also focused on sustainable entrepreneurship, community-centered business models, and the economic significance of cultural heritage in today’s markets.
Through a series of theoretical and practical sessions, the program introduced Akhism’s longstanding values at an international level, equipping participants with valuable knowledge and experience. In this way, the program aimed to connect cultural heritage with entrepreneurial practices, contributing to the strengthening of economic and cultural cooperation on a global scale.
The evaluation meeting for the program was chaired by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata. At the meeting, academics and graduate students who contributed to the training process were honored. They were presented with the Ahi Flag and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their support.
In this context, Assoc. Prof. Emine Şener, Assoc. Prof. Ertuğrul Güneş, Dr. Oktay Aktürk, Dr. Mustafa Altıntaş, Dr. Özlem Şenlik, Instructor İbrahim Şamil Soylu, Instructor Ömür Çetinkaya, Research Assistant Selim Şahin, Research Assistant Muhammet İkbal Destebaşı, and postgraduate students Mustafa Bayram and Muhammet Ziya Mert received gifts in appreciation of their contributions to the program’s success.
Kırşehir Ahi Evran University continues to organize international training programs with the aim of promoting the universal values of Akhism to the world and integrating these values with contemporary approaches to entrepreneurship. Through such initiatives, the university seeks both to contribute to Türkiye’s entrepreneurial vision and to inspire businesspeople from different countries.
