The Turkish Olympic Training Center Kayseri Regional Athletes met with our students at the International Health, Sports, and Tourism Congress on November 15, 2025, at the 15th of July Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center. The discussion was moderated by Prof. Dr. Öznur Büyükturan, Faculty Member of the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation School, and Specialist Physical Therapist Recep Baloğlu. The discussion was attended by Şahan Acar, 2nd place in the 77 kg category at the 2025 Turkish Games Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship; Ahmet Bada, Turkey Champion in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2025 Turkey Athletics Championship; Yılmaz Zihni Babi, Turkey Champion in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2025 Turkey Athletics Clubs Championship; Mustafa Efe, the 2023 Paralympic Turkey 100-meter Champion, and Emre Mutlu, the 2022 European Greco-Roman Champion. The discussion covered the athletes' processes of returning to sports after injuries, the importance of physical therapy and rehabilitation in sports injuries, and their journeys to becoming champions.

The interview concluded with the answering of questions from participants and the presentation of certificates of appreciation. Following the interview, the champion athletes visited our university's Sports Health Research and Application Center (SAUTER) with Secretary General Dr. Assistant Professor Hüseyin İlter and Prof. Dr. Öznur Büyükturan. After trying out the equipment at the SAUTER center, the athletes expressed their appreciation and admiration for the center. The visit concluded with a commemorative photo.
