The KOP Region Universities Union (UNİKOP) Executive Board held its second regular meeting of 2025. Important issues were discussed in the online meeting hosted by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University on November 13, 2025.

The online meeting was chaired by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, representing UNİKOP Supreme Council Chairman Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil. The meeting was attended by a large number of participants, including Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Vice Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and Chairman of the UNİKOP Strategic Planning Board; Dr. Murat Karakoyunlu, President of the KOP Regional Development Administration; Prof. Dr. Alpay Arıbaş, Rector of Aksaray University; Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gavgalı, Rector of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University; Rector of Konya Food and Agriculture University Prof. Dr. Erol Turan, Rector of Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu, Rector of KTO Karatay University Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç, Rector of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Prof. Dr. Semih Aktekin, Rector of Yozgat Bozok University Prof. Dr. Evren Yaşar, Vice Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Prof. Dr. Ersin Aydın, Vice Rector of Konya Food and Agriculture University Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Bilecen, Vice Rector of Cappadocia University Prof. Dr. İlhan Öztürk, Kırıkkale University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan, Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu, Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hidayet Oğuz, UNİKOP Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, and KOP Administration Coordinator Ahmet Suat Toprak and Bekir Bulut.

Following the opening speeches, UNİKOP Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir presented the activities carried out during the 9-month period. After the reading of the working group reports determined by the strategic planning committee, the strategic action plan was presented for discussion. The meeting, which touched upon joint collaborations and national and international project work, included suggestions and support for increasing the joint patent pool, visibility, and collaborations. At the end of the meeting, the action plan prepared under the leadership of our university with the support of UNIKOP universities was approved. The action plan included a total of 19 main and 38 sub-headings in the areas of Regional R&D Cooperation, Regional Development & Social Responsibility, Digital Education Platform, and Cultural & Social Events.
