Teachers' Day Panel Held

A panel was organized on Teachers' Day by the Faculty of Education of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, led by the Department of Mathematics Education. The panel held on November 24, 2025 at the Faculty of Education Conference Hall was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Kırşehir Provincial Director of National Education Yusuf Yasin Gülşen, academic and administrative staff, and students.

Opening speeches were made before the panel. First, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Yaman gave a speech, saying that teaching is a very valuable profession. Continuing his speech, Yaman congratulated teachers on their day and thanked all teachers for their dedicated work.

Before the panel, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil gave a welcoming speech in which he spoke about the importance of education and the sanctity of teaching. In his speech, Rector Karahocagil explained that teachers perform the most sacred of all professions, saying that they are important heroes in the enlightenment of a society and in broadening the horizons of young people, who are our future. “The first commandment of the holy book of Islam, the Quran, begins with ‘Read!’” said Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, emphasizing that teachers shape their students from an early age, noting that he himself is the child of a teacher. Celebrating the day of teachers who selflessly fulfill such a sacred duty, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil thanked all teachers for their valuable efforts.

Following Rector Karahocagil's welcoming remarks, the event proceeded to the Teachers' Day Panel, moderated by Prof. Dr. Nuri Baloğlu. The panel featured: Kırşehir Provincial Director of National Education Yusuf Yasin Gülşen on “Being a Teacher or Being My Teacher?” Director of the Social Sciences Vocational School Prof. Dr. Ayfer Şahin, “Being a Teacher in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” Prof. Dr. Nihat Çalışkan on “The Unknown Teacher,” and Prof. Dr. Cemalettin İpek on “Teacher Training in Different Countries.”
