The 16th International Congress on New Trends in Education (ICONTE 2025), organized by Aydın Adnan Menderes University in partnership with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and the Association for Excellence in Education (EMUDER), took place in a hybrid format (both in-person and online). The Congress was convened at the Yörük Ali Efe Hall of the Atatürk Congress Center at Aydın Adnan Menderes University. Attendees included our University's Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, members of the Aydın provincial protocol, and numerous scientists, academics, and students.
Joining the congress virtually, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek addressed the attendees during the opening session. He emphasized that the gathering was an opportunity to discuss the impact of the evolving digital landscape on education and to scientifically assess the potential offered by artificial intelligence and technology. Şimşek further explained their goal of developing remedies for the digital divide through the event. He extended his gratitude to all those involved in organizing and contributing to the congress, hoping for a productive session.
During the Congress, numerous scientists and academics presented their papers on topics such as artificial intelligence, sociology of education, disaster management, digital transformation, measurement and evaluation, social-emotional competency, teaching experiences, and intercultural education. Concurrently, the congress also addressed and evaluated a wide range of subjects, including verbal violence, multicultural film analyses, teacher motivation, digital leadership, AI-supported career guidance, and teaching memory in historical novels.
