The Ahi Evran Diyanet Youth Center, opened under our University Mosque in partnership with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and the Presidency of Religious Affairs, has started its activities. Known as Turkey’s largest youth center, it aims to help students make the most of the month of Ramadan through various activities under the "Ramadan on Campus" program. As a social, cultural, and sporting activity area primarily for Kırşehir Ahi Evran University students, the center also accepts students from outside the campus and will host events to contribute to the spiritual development of young people.

The Ahi Evran Diyanet Youth Center launched its first activity with the “Root Cause Analysis Workshop,” organized by the Young Green Crescent Community and supported by the University Student Communities Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES). Hosted at the center located under the campus mosque, the program was successfully held with high participation from high school and university students. It aimed to raise awareness in the fight against addiction and to develop the solution-oriented thinking skills of young people.

Green Crescent Board Member Lecturer İbrahim Soylu gave a presentation on combating addiction and provided participants with comprehensive information about the long-standing mission and activities of the Green Crescent. Stating that addiction directly affects not only the individual but also the family and the social structure, Soylu emphasized that it is of critical importance for young people to grow up as conscious and resilient figures in this process.

Then, Academic Advisor of the Young Green Crescent Community, Lecturer Dr. Yunus Macit, took the floor and introduced the "root cause analysis" approach that forms the basis of the project. Expressing that addiction problems should be addressed not only through their visible consequences but also alongside the social, psychological, and environmental factors that trigger them, Macit stated that the active participation of young people in this analysis process is essential for lasting solutions.

During the workshop session, participants worked in groups at 7 different tables and conducted in-depth evaluations on the causes and consequences of addiction types, as well as concrete solution proposals for these problems. Each table presented its findings to the workshop committee and exchanged ideas. This meaningful program, completed with the high motivation and active participation of the youth, became an important step toward the goal of a "solution-producing youth" in the fight against addiction. The Young Green Crescent Community announced that it would resolutely continue its work with a vision of a healthy and independent future. Ali Saratlı, the coordinator of the Ahi Evran Diyanet Youth Center, stated that the center's activities have officially begun with this program and continued: “Our programs, which we will organize throughout the month of Ramadan under the title 'Ramadan on Campus,' have started with this event. Within the scope of our programs, many social, cultural, and sporting activities will be held. Additionally, throughout Ramadan, we will offer tea, coffee, pastries, and various refreshments after iftar and tarawih prayers.”
