The "Ramadan on Campus" events, which have contributed to students spending the month of Ramadan with various activities and different topics and guests each day, have come to an end. On March 12, 2026, the festivities began with the "Çanakkale Iftar" held at the Campus Mosque. Following the iftar, the program continued with a talk titled "Conversation on Space and Time." The event was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Secretary General Asst. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin İlter, academic and administrative staff, and a large number of students.

In the iftar meal organized in honor of the memory of our martyrs, participants broke their fast with a menu consisting of soup, simit, and dates. The event, held within the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan, highlighted the feelings of unity and togetherness.
Following the iftar, a talk titled "Conversation on Space and Time" was held at the Diyanet Youth Center. The event featured author Dursun Çiçek as the guest speaker and was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. İzzet Gülaçar. During the session, Çiçek emphasized that in Islamic thought, the concept of space is not limited to physical areas; rather, elements such as the home, garden, and city are shaped by human faith and worldview. Explaining that space reflects a sense of civilization and that Islamic cities are built on principles of justice, morality, and sharing, Çiçek stated, "Cities play a crucial role in the formation of human identity and character. Cities established in the past were not merely architectural structures but the product of a vision of thought and civilization."
The program concluded after author Dursun Çiçek answered the participants' questions. The "Ramadan on Campus" events will draw to a close on March 13, 2026, with an article analysis titled "Alija Izetbegović: Hijrah" to be conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. İzzet Gülaçar.
