Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has made a name for itself through its academic and scientific research on national and international platforms, as well as through projects that add value to the city, and continues its internationalization efforts unabated. In this context, an educational and scientific cooperation protocol was signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and Zamzam University of Science and Technology in Somalia. The signing ceremony, held at the Rector’s Office on April 29, 2026, was attended by the Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, and the Rector of Zamzam University of Science and Technology Mohamud Mohamed Hassan Harbi. The ceremony took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Under the signed protocol, it is planned to mutually share educational and research topics within the areas of interest of both universities, and to collaborate on exchange and joint work initiatives among faculty members, departments, research centers, and students. Under the universities’ cooperation agreement, the scope of collaboration includes faculty and student exchanges, joint research activities, courses delivered through both traditional and e-learning methods, participation in seminars and academic meetings, the sharing of published academic materials and other information resources, as well as the development of special and short-term academic programs and joint agricultural projects, and submitting project proposals.

In his remarks regarding the protocol, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Zamzam University of Science and Technology in the fields of academic and scientific research as well as educational activities. He noted that such protocols and agreements demonstrate that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is taking firm steps toward becoming an institution that generates knowledge on a global scale. Expressing his hope that the protocol would be beneficial for both universities, Rector Karahocagil added that the university would continue its internationalization efforts without interruption.
