The Specialization Academy Kırşehir program was held in collaboration with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) Specialization Academy, and Ziraat Katılım, hosted by the Diyanet Youth Center. The program took place on May 13, 2026, at the Ahi Evran Diyanet Youth Center located on our Central Campus, with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Cihannüma President Selim Cerrah, Secretary General Asst. Prof. Hüseyin İlter, Kırşehir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Yasin Çakmakçı, deans, directors, academic and administrative staff, and students. Cihannüma President Selim Cerrah, who attended the program as a speaker, gave a conference on the topics of the "Century of Türkiye" and Youth.
At the well-attended conference, Cihannüma President Selim Cerrah addressed the concepts of patience, wisdom, and belonging through the story of Prophet Moses and Khidr, drawing attention to the importance of manners, patience, and submission while pursuing knowledge and truth. Citing Prophet Moses' approach to Khidr—"May I follow you so that you may teach me some of that knowledge which you have been taught by Allah?"—Cerrah stated that this reflects the respect and learning ethics a student should maintain toward a teacher. Addressing the youth, Selim Cerrah also emphasized the importance of the sense of belonging, stating that people must know where they belong; he noted that Türkiye is a state, Islam is a nation, and individuals bear responsibility toward the homeland in which they live. Cerrah mentioned three fundamental elements of being a nation and building a civilization, identifying these as a shared place of worship, a shared cemetery, and "ünsiyet"—meaning intimacy and kinship ties.
Concluding his speech with an emphasis on the "Century of Türkiye," Selim Cerrah stated that in the new century, Türkiye will once again teach the world love, peace, solidarity, and standing by the oppressed. Noting that people must act with a mindset of repairing crumbling walls, Cerrah completed his speech with messages of unity, brotherhood, and the construction of civilization.
Cihannüma President Selim Cerrah later participated in the 20th Ahilik Talks program, where he delivered a speech on the subjects of Ahilik and futuwwa. Making evaluations on the fundamental moral principles of the futuwwa and Ahilik understanding, Cerrah emphasized that patience, tolerance, and submission are the basic characteristics of those belonging to the futuwwa tradition. Touching upon the historical development of the Ahilik organization in his speech, Selim Cerrah stated that the foundations of Ahilik date back to the early periods of Islamic civilization.
At the end of the event, a musical performance was presented by Prof. Dr. Kubilay Kolukırık, Dean of our university's Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts, and his team. The program concluded following the presentation of gifts.
