Mustafa Şen, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party and Member of Parliament for Trabzon, who came to Kırşehir to participate in a series of events, attended the “Ahilik Talks” program organized by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The event took place on June 15, 2026, in the Fütüvvet Hall of our University’s Central Library. Participants included AK Party Member of Parliament for Trabzon Mustafa Şen, Member of Parliament for Kırşehir Necmettin Erkan, our university’s Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter, AK Party Kırşehir Provincial Chair Seher Ünsal, as well as academic and administrative staff and guests.

Prior to the “Ahilik Talks” program, AK Party Trabzon Representative Mustafa Şen and Kırşehir Representative Necmettin Erkan visited Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, at his office. During the cordial visit, Rector Karahocagil was accompanied by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, as well as Secretary General Dr. Hüseyin İlter.



Following the official visit, the program continued with the “Ahilik Talks.” During the program, Mustafa Şen, AK Party Member of Parliament for Trabzon, discussed how the values of Ahilik are reflected in today’s world. The program addressed the spirit of knowledge, ethics, brotherhood, social unity and solidarity, harmony, and order, and also highlighted the importance of the Ahilik organization. “Especially in terms of business and professional ethics, the prevalence of the Ahi philosophy and ethical principles across all professional fields today will bring about many social benefits,” said Deputy Şen, adding that he himself is a descendant of the Ahis.

At the end of the program, AK Party Trabzon MP Mustafa Şen played the saz and sang a folk song. Afterward, the Department of Music at our university’s Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts presented a musical performance.
