Organized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the 264th Inter-University Council Meeting took place with the participation of YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. KAEU Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil along with other university rectors and vice rectors attended the meeting, which on June 24, 2026.

At the well-attended meeting, the current state of the Turkish higher education system and its future plans were discussed. During the meeting, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar also shared his insights on the following topics: “Micro-Qualifications Framework, Roadmap for Turkish Higher Education Toward 2030, Quality-Focused Transformation, Employment-Focused Education and Industry Partnerships, Internationalization, and Social Contribution.”

In his remarks on the subject, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized that the decisions discussed and planned at the 264th Inter-University Council Meeting are in line with the future vision of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Explaining that Turkish higher education is no longer solely focused on diplomas, but is working to ensure that universities equip our youth—who represent our future—with expertise in their fields and produce projects that will add value to the region, Rector Karahocagil added that our university is ready for this new era through its efforts in specialization, its TEKNOKENT vision, and its educational philosophy that strongly prepares students for the future.
